Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah was installed as Sultan Kedah on 15 July 1958. On 15 July 2008, Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah will celebrates his Golden Jubilee after succesfully reign the state of Kedah & on that day also has been declared as public holiday in the whole state of Kedah. As a Kedahan, I'm proud because my king ruled the longest in Malaysia & he also happened to be my super-senior at Sultan Abdul Hamid College. He entered the school 1946 & I entered the school 1992.
